Hard to believe that we've been on the air with Hometown Magazine for nearly six months!  I had the chance to talk with some many people over that time, and I'm continually grateful to fill our weekly spots with newsmakers from across Indiana County!

It seems like we've spent so much time talking about the state budget.  Nearly everyone that comes on the show has a story to tell about how they've been impacted by funding issues.  Local lawmakers, all the way up to the Speaker of the House Sam Smith, have been very accessible in coming on the show to explain what is happening in Harrisburg and how it impacts people here in Indiana County.

That continues next week as time ticks down to a budget deal in Harrisburg.  On Thursday, State Rep. Dave Reed stops by, followed by Sen. Don White on Friday.  Dana Henry's segment will air on Wednesday instead of Friday.

Sources close to Harrisburg indicate that there could be a state budget deal by mid-month, at least in principle.  We'll keep following the developments and how it could impact local organizations, including IUP.
