Jack Benedict The summer of 2010 will mark my 48th year in the broadcast industry. I begin my career in June of 1962 in Connellsville with WCVI 1340 radio. I then moved to Indiana County and WDAD 1450 in August of 1969 as the "morning man" and Sports Director where I did play-by-play for IUP football and basketball and Indiana High football. In April of 1989, I moved "down the road" to 1160 WCCS in Homer City to become Sports Director where I continued to broadcast IUP games and Homer Center football until 2004. Currently I am doing eight daily sportscasts, four each on WDAD and WCCS as the four Indiana County stations are under one owner, Renda Broadcasting. The 2010 football season will mark my " Jackie Robinson " year, number 42 , broadcasting IUP football and basketball. I will also continue to call Indiana high football and selected baseball games in the spring and summer.
