Mark is the longest tenured employee at News-Talk 1160 WCCS, beginning in 1985 and has been the play-by-play voice of Homer-Center football for 23 years. He has won three Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Awards: for best play-by-play sports announcer in 2004, 2002 best Public Service Campaign, and in 1998 for Best Public Service Announcement. He is also very active in local baseball, coaching American Legion in Homer City from 1989-2003 winning nearly 300 games and advancing to the State Championship Tournament seven times. He was inducted as a Lifetime Member for his many contributions to the Homer City Area Athletic Booster Club.
As many people know, Mark also is the General Manager of News-Talk 1160 WCCS and our three affiliate stations in Indiana County, three stations in Punxsutawney, and one in Greensburg. Mark was promoted to Vice President and Regional Manager for the 8 station cluster in February, 2006. He is active with many organizations. He is a a currently serving on the Downtown Indiana, Inc. Board of Directors, the Jimmy Stewart Museum Board of Directors, the American Heart Association Board, and is serving on the Indiana County Emergency Management Board. He also served a four year term on the Homer-Center School District Board of Directors. A huge Penguins, Pirates and Pitt fan, Mark lives with his wife Debby in Homer City.
