2010 IUP Football Commitments

More IUP football commitments announced

The following is a list of more commitments to IUP:
Wide receivers - Josh Grafton 6-1 185 and Richard Greene 6-2 200 both from Susquehanna Twp. Harrisburg and Trey Campman of Clearfield
Defensive Backs - Ray Harris 6-1 175 Penns Hills High School and Jerrell McFadden 5-9 177 Fork Union Military Academy
Linebacker/Fullback - Ethan Hornbarger 6-2 240 Kennard-Dale High School in York County
Running Back - Mike Meriweather 5-9 190 Dematha Catholic in Maryland
Quarterback - Dom Mills 6-3 235 State College High School

IUP's 2010 recruiting class picked up steam on National Letter of Intent Day Wednesday with six confirmed commitments.

The IUP football office reported the following commitments: Matt Reed (kicker from Wadsworth, Ohio), Don Jordan (long snapper, Kiski School), Lowen Johnson (linebacker, Manheim Central), Jared Buck (quarterback, West Allegheny), Michael Charmo (offensive lineman, Louden Valley) and Errol Brewster (defensive end, Springbrook H.S., Maryland).

Also, the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat reports that all-state running back Josh Seidel of Bishop McCort will follow in his late father's footsteps as he has signed with IUP.

Jared Buck
High School: West Allegheny HS
Position: QB
Ht: 6-4 Wt: 185

According to MaxPreps.com, Buck completed 79 of 137 passes for 1,300 yards and 16 touchdowns, while throwing just two interceptions in 2009.
Dan Jordan
High School: Kiski School
Position: LS
Ht: 5-11 Wt: 215

Jordan is a nationally-ranked long snapper.

Michael Charmo
High School: Loudoun Valley H.S., Va.
Position: OL
Ht: 6-2 Wt: 270

Charmo was a two-year All-District tackle for the Cedar Run AAA District. See a video clip of Charmo here and here.
Matt Reed
High School: Wadsworth H.S., Ohio
Position: Kicker
Ht: 6-1 Wt: 170

Reed was a four-year starter at Wadsworth and kicked 168 career points, 123 extra points and 15 field goals.

Defensive Commitments
Errol Brewster
High School: Springbrook H.S., Maryland
Position: DE
Ht: 6-3 Wt: 240

Brewster was named to the honorable mention for linebackers on the Maryland high school football media Big School All-State team, as selected by voting through the state's newspaper reporters.
Lowen Johnson
High School: Manheim Central H.S.
Position: LB
Ht: 5-11 Wt: 205
