Indiana Borough police arrested a 21-year-old woman on Thursday morning after they say she took items from a car on North 6 Street.
The 6 Street resident told police that someone entered the vehicle sometime after 2:30 a.m. and took their debit card.
According to the police, that card was then used to attempt to withdraw money from the ATM at the Sheetz on Philadelphia Street at 3:20 a.m. The police then obtained surveillance video from the Sheetz and found the suspect, Nelliemae Sleasman, back at that same Sheetz store with some of the stolen property. Sleasman was even wearing a red IUP hoody that was taken from the victim’s car.
Sleasman was arrested and arraigned on several theft and access device fraud charges.
