The White Township Supervisors discussed several traffic issues last night, including a proposal to reduce the speed limit on North 5^th Street from the Indiana Borough line.  The township would first have to petition PennDOT to do a speed test on North 5^th Street.

PennDOT recently did a speed test on a section of Route 110 where it joins with 119. They said a speed reduction there was not justified.

A no parking ordinance is now in effect on North 5^th Street from the Indiana Borough line toMcGregor Street. Drivers will only be able to park on one side of the road. Supervisor George Lenz raised concerns on how that would be enforced. Code enforcement officer Chris Anderson said it would be a state police issue.

The supervisors were also informed that winter maintenance equipment has been installed and is ready to go.  Next Monday is the final day for leaf collection.
