INDIANA NATIVE KILLED IN CALIFORNIA HELICOPTER CRASH
Reportedly filming for TV show

2/11/2013

An Indiana native was one of three people reportedly killed in a Southern California helicopter crash early yesterday.  The three were part of a crew filming for a new reality TV show for the  Discovery Channel.

Michael Donatelli, a 1985 graduate of Indiana High School, was one of the three who died in the crash.  His brother, Tony, is currently the wrestling coach at Indiana High.

The television program for which they were filming is an as-yet untitled military-themed show being made for the Discovery Channel by a production company called Eyeworks USA.

The crash happened at about 3:40 AM yesterday in a remote canyon area at the Polsa Rosa Ranch in Acton, in rural northern Los Angeles County.
