Police are investigating a theft in the early morning hours Friday morning. 

Police say that sometime between 1 AM and 8 AM, someone was able to get into a parked car in the 300 block of Fisher avenue, and stole several items, including textbooks, an under-armour backpack and an apple macbook pro.  Police also say that a piece of the door trim was also damaged in the theft.  Police say the total loss and damage is estimated around $1600.
