A reminder of a road closure that is going to take effect Monday in Center Township…
PennDOT says Old Route 119 will close between Simpson Road and Wayne Avenue for the first phase of a two-part project to lower the road for more clearance on an overhead bridge and then to replace a bridge.
The roadway will be lowered in the first phase of the $2.25 million project, which should be completed in mid-May. Once that part is finished, Old Route 119 will reopen there, but will close from Lisle Street to Two Lick Road for the bridgework.
The entire project is expected to be done by mid-October.
