A man running for the Democratic Nomination for Governor is making a stop in Indiana.
Governor Candidate John Hanger is touring western Pennsylvania next week to drum up support for his campaign. Hanger’s tour, which has been called the second Save our Schools tour begins Monday at the Bedford County Fair. His stop will be in Indiana Tuesday Morning at 9:00 at the County Courthouse before going on to Punxsutawney and points north.
The bus tour focuses on one of the planks of Hanger’s platform, which is restoring $1 billion that was cut from public schools, along with eliminating funding to poor-performing charter schools.
Hanger is running against several other candidates, including state treasurer Rob McCord, former state environmental protection secretary Kathleen McGinty, and former state revenue secretary Tom Wolf.
