One of the Indiana County Commissioners has decided to step down in the middle of his term.
Commissioner Dave Frick has decided to retire as county commissioner effective December 31st of this year. Frick has cited his advancing age as the reason to retire, but he still loves the county he has served as county commissioner.
By the time his term ends, he will have served ten years as a county commissioner. Rod Ruddock, who read Frick’s initial statement, had this to say about his fellow commissioner after reading the statement.
In other business, the Indiana County Commissioners approved the DCED application for all three Keystone Opportunity Zones that were presented during the meeting. These zones include the former BiLo plaza in Blairsville, The Gorell Plant in White Township, and the former Polyvision building in Green Township.
