Two Pittsburgh men were apprehended Friday in connection with a drug investigation that started back in November of 2013. Indiana Borough Police say 22-year-old Ernest Rivers and 21-year-old John Owens, both of Pittsburgh, were seen in the 1300 block of Philadelphia Street on November 16th, 2013. Felony arrest warrants were issued, and yesterday, the two were taken into custody without incident. The two are charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Right now the two are in Indiana County Jail to await arraignment in front of District Magistrate Jennifer Rega.
Marijuana was also at the center of another drug bust on Friday. Indiana Borough Police instigated a traffic stop for a car driven by 22-year-old Gabriel Aiken of Philadelphia for a traffic violation, and when police investigated further, they found he had a small amount of marijuana on his person. A criminal complaint was filed at District Justice Guy Haberl’s office for charges of possession of a small amount of Marijuana.
