Jeannette man walked away from White Township facility on Friday

State police are looking for an escapee from the Conewago Indiana drug treatment facility on Warren Road in White Township.

33-year-old Justin Turner of Jeannette was transferred to Conewago last week after  Westmoreland County Judge Richard McCormick Jr. granted his petition for early release on parole.  Serving probation for numerous retail theft charges, he’d been jailed in January after testing positive for cocaine and marijuana in a drug test.  He is also scheduled for trial for retail theft in May.

Turner arrived at Conewago on Thursday, but between 4:30 PM and 5:30 Friday afternoon, he managed to slip out of the facility undetected.  A warrant has been issued for his arrest and anyone who may have information on the case is asked to contact state police at 357-1960.
