Quick detective work by Indiana Borough police led to the arrest of two men who are now charged with the robbery of two people Wednesday afternoon.
David Curriston Jr. of Shelocta – who will turn 21 years old next Friday – and 19-year-old Jason Hall of Sagamore are charged with two counts each of felony robbery and misdemeanor theft, and Curriston is also charged with felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor recklessly endangering another person.
Police were summoned just after 2:30 Wednesday afternoon to the 800 block of Maple Street, where they encountered two victims. One of them had been struck in the back of the head with a pistol. He was treated for lacerations at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
The investigation led to two suspects who were identified by the victims using a photo lineup, and warrants were obtained. Curriston and Hall were then taken into custody. They were both arraigned before District Judge Jennifer Rega and ordered to the Indiana County Jail, with bond set at $25,000 for Curriston. Hall’s bond is not listed.
The names of the victims were not released.
