Expect delays on Route 22 straddling the Indiana/Cambria County line starting on Monday.
PennDOT says a highway repair job will reduced traffic to a single lane in each direction for about a half-mile on each side of the line, from East Wheatfield Township and into Jackson Township.
It’s a complete rebuild that will include pavement spall repairs, diamond grinding and grooving of the existing pavement and concrete, and then resurfacing. It’s expected to take about six weeks to complete and is actually part of a larger, $2.1 million project in Cambria County known as the Route 219 Northern Cambria Borough Resurfacing project. That obviously means rehabilitation of Route 219 as well.
Everything is expected to wrap up by mid-October.
