ARMED ROBBER HITS ROSSITER CONVENIENCE STORE
    July 21, 2010

    7/21/2010

An armed robber demanded money from a clerk at a Canoe Township convenience store last night.

According to state police, a white man entered Slick’s Convenience Store in the Village of Rossiter at 7:30 p.m., wearing a black hoodie and a white bandana that covered his face. He was wielding a knife and demanded cash from the clerk.

The suspect is believed to be between 25 and 25 years old, approximately 5-feet-9-inches-tall and police believe he weighs around 150 pounds.

He fled the store in a light gold-colored newer model mini-van on Central Street headed towards the Jefferson County line.

There’s no word on how much money the robber may have gotten away with.

Anyone with information on this armed robbery is asked to call state police at the Punxsutawney Barracks at 814-938-0510.
