    DERRY TOWNSHIP STORE ROBBED AGAIN
    Sunday robbery was fourth this year, second in a week

    There has been yet another armed robbery of the Choice Cigarette Outlet store in Derry Township, the fourth such robbery there this year and the second in a week.

    Last night, state troopers were summoned to the store on Route 217 at 8:35 PM. They are describing the suspect as a white male wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, tennis shoes, and a light colored bandana over his face. The suspect was said to have entered the store displaying a hand gun and demanding cash from the 20-year-old female clerk. The man then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money on foot.

    Last Sunday, a white male robbed ths store, displaying a handgun to the clerk.

    The store was also robbed on June 20th by two men who fled in a cream-colored Mazda 6 automobile. They’d parked the car across the railroad tracks and ran to the vehicle after pulling off the heist.

    In January, two men robbed the store. Police caught 21-year-old Reed Moore of Derry Township, and an arrest warrant remains outstanding for 19-year-old Dion Ford (II), also of Derry Township.
