Police still have not publicly identified a woman who was critically injured early Saturday in a White Township motorcycle crash that killed an Indiana man.
The woman, a passenger on the bike, was tossed to the roadway after the cycle driven by 25-year-old Jeffrey Weber Jr. failed to make a curve on Route 286 and hit an SUV. Weber was also ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma to the head. The woman was taken first to Indiana Regional Medical Center, then transferred by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital. Her condition remains unknown. Nobody in the second vehicle was hurt.
The accident was one of two fatal crashes in Indiana County early Saturday morning. In the other, 39-year-old Jeffrey Fox of Seward was killed when he was ejected from his car as it spun off Route 22 near Route 403 in East Wheatfield Township. The crash was in the same location as an accident earlier in the week that took the life of a Tennessee truck driver.
