Indiana-based Citizens Ambulance Service will have some repair work to do on an ambulance that wrecked early yesterday near West Shamokin High School.
The rig was transporting a patient to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning shortly before 5 AM in heavy fog on Route 839 when it went across Route 85 at the school entrance, entered a grassy area and ended up partially in a creek.
The ambulance driver was not identified, and no emergency personnel were injured. The patient was unharmed as well, and an ambulance from Kittanning responded and took the patient to the hospital.
