IUP President Mike Driscoll continues to shape his administration, and has announced a search committee to seek candidates for the position of Assistant to the President for Social Equity.
Thirteen members of the university community will serve on the committee, led by Dr. Melvin Jenkins, the chairman of the Department of Developmental Studies.
The Office of Social Equity and Civic Engagement supports and monitors diversity issues at IUP, serving as the university’s primary instrument for resolving complaints and reports of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. It also monitors IUP’s performance regarding ragulatory standards of the deferal and state governments.
The Assistant to the President for Social Equity will report directly to Driscoll on diversity issues.
