A preliminary hearing will be held today for 58-year-old Andrew Edwards, the Indiana man accused of trying to kidnap a 17-year-old girl on the afternoon of December 15^th.

Edwards was arrested December 17^th.  Police say he walked up behind the girl on Marion Road in White Township, grabbed her by the arm and around her stomach, and said, “Come with me.”  The girl fought back and got away.

Edwards is charged with kidnapping, unlawful restraint, stalking, simple assault, and harassment.  He’s being held at the Indiana County Jail on $100,000 bond. 

Today’s hearing is scheduled for 9:00 AM before District Judge Guy Haberl.
