Athletic coaches at IUP and the thirteen other state-owned universities have approved their new labor contract.  More than 97 percent of the 400 coaches, who are represented by APSCUF, voted to ratify the contract, which includes an increase in minimum salaries, a revised healthcare co-pay, and a benefits package that is simliar to the one for APSCUF faculty members.

The coaches, like the faculty members, have been working under terms of a contract that expired on June 30^th, 2011.  The State System must still ratify the deal.

APSCUF says the tentative contract agreement for faculty members will be put to a vote by union members at the individual State System campuses in early March.
