Security was once again the main topic of discussion at last night's Marion Center School Board meeting.
The position of school security officer is something the Marion Center School Board has discussed at nearly every meeting over the past several months. They did so again last night, approving a job description for the position.
The board also approved the purchase of additional security cameras for the district's buildings. The cameras themselves cost more than $57,000 but the final cost total includes related work such as wiring and configuration of the district's network.
In other business, the board joined several other local school districts in formally supporting the Challenger Learning Center.
