A special public meeting concerning future transportation projects in Indiana County was held yesterday.
The meeting was hosted by the Indiana County Public Participation panel, and its purpose was to get some guidance from the public concerning the upcoming 2015-2018 Transportation Improvement Program, or TIP projects, which will identify the priority of transportation projects in our region.
While many projects were discussed ranging from Hoodlebug and Ghost Town trail extensions to bridge projects and highway straightening, Matt Pavolsky, Panel Coordinator for the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission, said that the biggest concern he hear was road maitenence.
If you missed the meeting, you can continue to share your ideas by logging on to the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commision's website at www.spcregion.org and clicking on the Public Participation link under the Transportation Menu. The deadline for submissions is May 31st.
