Police are investigating a case of suspected child abuse out of Burrell Township.  They say emergency crews were called to a residence around 2:30 a.m. Friday after a report that a 20-month-old child was not breathing.

No charges have been filed in the matter, but according to reports, doctors do not expect the child to survive.

The toddler was taken first to Indiana Regional Medical Center, then to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, before being transported to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.

A search warrant was served today at the home in Burrell Township.
