Indiana Borough police are investigating an assault and theft in the parking lot behind the American Legion on Gompers Avenue.  Police say a man came upon the break-in of a car and confronted the two suspects.  He was assaulted, and the two men then stole something from the car and fled on foot.  The suspects are both described as black college-aged men, one of them slender and about 6 feet tall.  He was wearing a gray t-shirt and dark pants.  The other one was about 5'8", with a medium build, and he was wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans.  Anyone with information is urged to call police at 349-2121.

Borough police also report the arrest of an Erie woman as they were called to a fight in front of Wolfendale’s early on Friday, Nov. 1.  20-year-old Shavel Spencer is charged with disorderly conduct, carrying a false ID, underage drinking, and possession of marijuana.

Burglars got into a vacant home in East Wheatfield Township between Tuesday and Thursday, Oct. 29-31, damaging both the front and rear doors, but they fled, apparently without taking anything.  Steven Berezansky of Marengo, Ohio, is the owner of the home, located on Second Street outside of Seward.

State police are looking for a white pickup truck involved in a hit and run incident Friday, Nov. 1, around 11 p.m. The vehicle struck another vehicle coming in the opposite direction and then fled the scene. The white truck was last seen turning onto Second Street in Coral. The truck should have damage to the fender area. If you have any information about the incident, please call State Police at 724-357-1960.
