Multiple fire crews were on scene a fire that spread to a second house this morning in Indiana Borough.
Indiana Fire companies along with crews from Homer City, Coral-Graceton, Clymer, and Cherryhill Township were on the scene for a fire that started around 3:00 this morning at 502 South 7th Street. That fire spread to the neighborhing house on the corner of 7th and Grant Streets. Indiana Fire officials say that everyone was able to get out safely. The first house to catch fire was completely gutted, and the attic area of the second house was also burned, but the rest of the second house took on severe water damage.
Indiana Borough road crews were also on scene spreading salt to prevent the water from freezing on the road and sidewalks. Creekside, Marion Center, and Black Lick Fire Departments were called in for standby duty. State Police have been called in to investigate the cause.
