Indiana company develops leak detection system for gas pipelines

Indiana-based KAPLET Technology Solutions has been chosen by the Marcellus Shale Coalition Research Collaboration to make a presentation on a new method of detecting leaky gas pipelines.

Working in partnership with Cleveland Electronic Laboratories, KAPLET will introduce a state-of-the-art monitoring system known as FiberStrike Pipeline Leak Detection.  The system uses fiber optics to remotely – and immediately - detect and accurately locate a leak, thus lessening the environmental impact and saving money.  In fact FiberStrike can instantly detect abnormal changes in a pipeline before a leak occurs.

KAPLET will be one of twelve presenters at the Technology Showcase at the Shale Insight 2014 conference at the David L. Lawrence Conference Center in Pittsburgh on September 23rd.
