Patricia (Gosnell) Kale, age 76, of Indiana and formerly of Morristown, Tenn., passed away Friday, March 7, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center. Private arrangements are being made with the assistance of the Rairigh Funeral Home in Hillsdale.

Patricia (Gosnell) Kale, 76, of Indiana, Pa., and formerly of Morristown, Tenn., died Friday, March 7, 2014, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, Pa.

            The daughter of Ray A. and A. Pearle (Porter) Gosnell, Sr., she was born on September 7, 1937 in Whitmire, S.C.

            Pat was a 1955 graduate of the Statesville Senior High School in Statesville, N.C.

            She was of the Methodist faith.

            Pat retired following a seventeen year career as an administrative financial security analyst with Sears, Roebuck and Company stores in Virginia.

            She possessed a deep love and compassion for children and animals - a trait that exemplified itself in her faithful contributions to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; the ASPCA and the Indiana County Humane Society.

            One of her favorite pastimes was reading.

            Well-loved and appreciated for her ready wit and humorous comebacks, Pat will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.

            Pat is survived by her brother, David Gosnell and his wife Kaeron of Morristown, TN and her many nieces and nephews, including her nephew, Randy Degenkolb of Marion Center, Pa., who assisted her regularly for a number of years; as well as a number of great nieces and great nephews.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters: Jodie Moore and Joan Degenkolb and her brother, Ray “Pete” Gosnell, Jr.

            Private arrangements are with the assistance of the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, Pa.

            Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN  38101-9908 or via www.stjude.org/tribute, which was a charitable outreach of great importance to Pat.
