Obit for Ruby M. Zeigler


Ruby Mae Zeigler, 78, of Indiana, passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Scenery Hill Manor.


A daughter of the late Charles and Annie Cravenor Harris, she was born May 6, 1936, in Echo, Armstrong County.


Mrs. Zeigler was of the Baptist faith.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed listening to country music, writing lyrics for country music traveling and spending time with family and grandchildren.  Mrs. Zeigler was a member of the Tri State Country Music Association.


She is survived by her companion, Walt McCreary, of Indiana; five children and two step children: David Zeigler and wife Debbie Gallant, of White Oak; Walter Zeigler and wife Julie, of San Antonio, TX; Jay Mason and wife Mia, of Turtle Creek; Brenda Weatherspoon, of Indiana; Debra Mason and Jason Luster, of Bear, DE; Nancy Ryle, of Wilmington, DE; George Anthony Mason, of South Carolina; daughter-in-law, Amanda Zeigler, of Kittanning; 22 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Zeigler; her companion, George Mason; three children: Dennis Zeigler, Russell Mason and Camela Mason; two brothers: Raymond Harris and Charles “Jimmy” Harris.


Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Elder Stanford Webb, Jr. officiating.
