Helen J. Huber Adams, 100, of Latrobe, formerly of Indiana, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012, at Nature Park Commons in Greensburg.


A daughter of the late George and Cloie Alice Jamison Huber, she was born November 22, 1911 in Indiana.


Mrs. Adams was a graduate of Indiana Area High School.  She was a homemaker and had formerly worked at Montgomery Ward’s.  She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.  Mrs. Adams enjoyed playing cards and bingo. 


She is survived by two daughters, Joanne Lee Adams Shearer and husband Ralph, of Latrobe; and Barbara Jean Kellar and husband Jerry, of Indiana; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Kennedy, of Alexandria, VA.; seven grandchildren, Joyce Peturnyak, of Greensburg; Lise Connolly, of Aspen, CO.; Cynthia Vaughn, of Abingdon, MD.; Jasen Kellar, of Lincoln, NE.; Douglas Kellar, of Indiana; Cynthia Orsborn, of The Colony, TX.; and Renee Talmon, of Oakland, CA.; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Adams, Sr.; a son, Robert Lee Adams, Jr.; two brothers; five sisters; and one grandson, James E. Renz, Jr.


Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., Indiana with Pastor Kathy Mihoerck officiating.  Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
