Charlotte “Lorraine” (Pierce) Westover, 76 of Clymer, PA., passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

 

She was the daughter of Ellis and Ellen (Hubert) Pierce, born on April 20, 1936 in Indiana, PA.

 

Lorraine was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Clymer.  She was an active member of the Twolick Valley Senior Social Center in Clymer, her life evolved around the Senior Center and she will be greatly missed by all that attend there.  Lorraine was recognized for 10 years of volunteer service and also for serving 1,221 hours of service and dedication to her community from April 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012.  She was an avid baker and loved canning and working in puzzle books.  She loved helping others and those in need.  Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

 

She is survived by her husband, Richard S. Westover of Clymer; six children, Patricia L. Coleman and husband Ronald of Creekside, Rick Westover and wife Diane of Rossiter, Ron Westover and wife Denise of Cherry Tree, Ray Westover and wife Pam of Hobe Sound, FL, Rena Altman and husband Dave of Brookville, and Robin Fulmer and husband Sam of Brookville; one sister, Jane Urcheck of Blairsville; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

 

Lorraine will also me missed by many nieces and nephews and two very special friends, Betsy Miller and Bob Dehaven and all her friends at the Twolick Valley Senior Social Center.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother, Alice Pierce and one brother, Leroy Pierce.

 

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Harry J. Bence Funeral Home, Clymer.  Additional visitation will be on Sunday from 1-2 p.m. with her funeral service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with her son Ron Westover, officiating.  Interment will be in Washington Presbyterian Cemetery, Home, PA.
