John was a charter member of the Red Barn Sportsman club and a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of UMWA Local #488, Lucernemines and was retired from his job as a Federal Mine Inspector.
John is survived by his wife – the former Delores Martin;
2 sisters – Flora Maggio and husband Pete of Homer City and Amelia Stewart of Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister – Rosemary Bertocchi , brother – Lloyd Strini and an infant brother – Marco Strini.
Friends will be received Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the C. Frederick Bowser Funeral Home, Homer City where services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Father Ron Cyktor, officiating.
