RAIRIGH FUNERAL HOME IN HILLSDALE

Reyburn Melvin Eugene Weaver, 87, of Purchase Line, PA died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Thomas F. and Gertrude F. (Creek) Weaver, he was born on February 22, 1926 in East Mahoning Twp., Indiana Co., PA.

Reyburn was a member of the East Mahoning Baptist Church in Purchase Line.

He served in the US Army as a PFC during the Korean War.

For over sixty-two years, Reyburn was the proprietor of Weaver’s Garage and Repair, a landmark firm in Purchase Line known by reputation for its mechanic work.

A loving husband and father, he enjoyed spending time with all of the members of his family – from his wife and children to his great grandchildren.

Reyburn was an old tractor enthusiast and a loyal Dale Earnhardt fan.

One of his favorite pastimes was completing jigsaw puzzles, which he displayed throughout his office and garage space, creating an art gallery of puzzles upon the walls of the building.

In the later years of his life, he looked forward to dining out with his family and friends.

Reyburn married his wife, Eleanor M. (Wilhelm) on April 14, 1951 and they shared sixty-two years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor, of Purchase Line, PA; his eight children: Larry Weaver and wife Debby of Commodore, PA; Gary Weaver and wife Diane of Indiana, PA; Barry Weaver and wife Gina of Purchase Line, PA; Nancy Duck and husband Barry "Mart" of Bowdertown, PA; Glenda "Sue" Salsgiver and husband Eddie of Glen Campbell, PA; Roger Weaver and wife Tracy of Mahaffey, PA; Greg Weaver and wife Mary of Purchase Line, PA and Brian Scott Weaver of Purchase Line, PA; nineteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Reyburn is also survived by his three siblings: Algiers Weaver and wife Mary Jane of Lower Burrell, PA; Mary Jane Dishong of Commodore, PA and Isabel Payne of Suffolk, VA and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Nelson L. D. Weaver.

Friends will be received from 2-4:00 and 7-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd in Hillsdale, PA, where an 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 with Pastor Mark Brady officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Clymer American Legion Post #222. Interment will follow at the East Mahoning Cemetery in Purchase Line, PA.
