Todd Garret “T.J.” Shamberger, Jr., found his new home in Heaven on Friday, July 11, 2014, at his home.

T.J. was born Sept. 18, 2004 in Roaring Spring, to Todd G. and Sandra D. Henry Shamberger.

T.J. was a very sweet and special little boy.  He had a beautiful smile and always made other people smile.  He brought so much joy to everyone who knew him.  His short life impacted the lives of many others with his “never give up” attitude.  T.J. was a fighter and a very tough little boy.  He was chosen to be a “wish kid” through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  T.J. spent his entire life battling severe brain damage and all of the health issues that came with it.  He was in and out of Children’s Hospital several times and always fought a hard fight.  Even though he could never walk, talk, laugh or play, T.J. taught us all about unconditional love and true friendship.  T.J. was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church.

T.J. is survived by his parents, of Homer City; two older half-brothers: Ronald T. Little and Aaron B. Little; two younger siblings: Sonya R. Shamberger and Hunter M. Shamberger, all of Homer City; his maternal grandmother: Alice J. Henry, of Homer City; paternal grandparents: Karl and Ruth Shamberger, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Thomas E. Henry and his paternal great grandmother, Sara Shamberger.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc. where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Terry Semsick, CRE officiating.
