The 19th Ranked IUP Crimson held on for a 71-68 win against Alderson-Broaddus at the KCAC yesterday in game 1 of the IRMC Classic. The Hawks trailed 27-25 at halftime and then built a 15 point second half lead, but Alderson-Broaddus made a run and gave the Hawks everything they had down the stretch. IUP was lead by Mathis Ketia who scored 21 points. Scooter Renkin made his season debut for the Hawks last night and contributed 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 27 minutes of action. Overall IUP shot 43.8 percent from the floor and shot 56 percent in the 2nd half (14 of 25 from the field). The Crimson Hawks improve to 3 and 0 on the year and they return to the court on Sunday for game 2 of the IRMC classic when they take on Seton Hill tip is set for 5:30 pm air time will be 5:15 on U 92.5 FM.
