Kelson Brown hit a go-ahead single in the 9th inning to lead the Altoona Curve to a 6-3 win and a series split with the Bowie Baysox. Brown got his chance with the game tied at 3 and two down in the 9th.  Keon Broxton struck out, but the ball got away from the Baysox' catcher and Broxton made it to first.  Willie Garcia then singled and Brown drove in Broxton with his hit.  Catcher Ronnie Paulino later singled in Garcia and Brown.  Stetson Allie homered in the first inning for Altoona

John Holdzkom  pitched the 8th and 9th innings for the Curve to earn his first win.  In four appearances since being signed out of an independent league, the former Reds’ farmhand with the blazing has allowed one hit in six innings to go along with 10 strikeouts.

The Curve return home for a 4th of July game versus Harrisburg, to be flowed by a double fireworks show.   Pat Ludwig pitches for Altoona.
