Roses at the Rose Inn
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Rose Inn on Dec. 17, 2010.and joined us for our annual auction event.  It was a huge success! How huge? You helped us raise $2,473.57. That’s about $850 more than the old record.  That's fantastic for a three-hour event!
We want to thank the Rose Inn, Consol Energy and all the folks who donated prizes ... and of course, you, for making this such a huge success!
3rd Annual Spaghetti Dinner
Another Huge Success
Thanks to everyone who came out and had a great spaghetti dinner, served up by Renda Broadcasting volunteers at the Indiana Regional Medical Center cafeteria on Dec. 8, 2010.
This was our 3rd annual Teddy Bear Fund Drive Spaghetti Dinner, benefitting the Indiana Regional Medical Center Pediatrics Department and the Free Care Fund at Children’s Hospital.

The best news is that $3,300 was raised for the Teddy Bear Fund Drive.
Renda Broadcasting also thanks our partners, including DelGrosso’s for the sauce, meatballs, and pasta, Giant Eagle for the dinner rolls, the Eat n Park Cookie Cruiser for the Cookies, Snyders of Berlin for the chips, and of course our friends at Indiana Regional Medical Center for opening up their hearts and their cafeteria in allowing us to turn it into an Italian Diner for one day.

About the Teddy Bear Fund Drive
Renda Broadcasting of Indiana and its affiliated stations including 1450 WDAD-AM, News-Talk 1160 WCCS, Country 106.3, and U-92.5 FM proudly sponsor the Teddy Bear Fund Drive. For the past 31 years, the Teddy Bear Fund Drive has benefitted the Pediatrics Unit at Indiana Regional Medical Center and the Free Care Fund at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and has raised in excess of $1,800,000 dollars including over $50,000 last year.

Renda Broadcasting of Indiana, as part of our “Community Teammates” initiative, developed four teams of employees and organized numerous fundraisers during last year’s campaign. “Our employees played a bigger role than ever before,” stated Mark Bertig, Vice President and Regional Manager for the company. “I would like to thank our employees for recognizing the importance of the Teddy Bear Fund Drive and volunteering their time outside of the workplace and normal working hours,” said Mark. “It is important to give back and I’m extremely proud of our entire staff.”

In addition to many fundraisers from station personnel, traditionally Indiana County schools play the largest role in making the fund drive a success.

“The involvement of our local schools is vitally important,” added Bertig. “You can see the pride when the children bring in their donations.”

“Children need quality healthcare all year long,” says Bertig. “I encourage families, businesses, social organizations and individuals to aid in this effort whenever possible.”
